Rob Scotton
 

     Award winning and #1 bestselling author and illustrator of the Russell the Sheep series, the extensive Splat the Cat collection and the very latest addition to the  family, Max and Moonbean. 

     An honours graduate of De Montfort University in Leicester, Rob lives in Rutland, England with his wife Liz.

     Rob's arrival in the picture book world was a curious affair. Whilst exhibiting at a New York licensing Show in 2004 Rob fortuitously met with HarperCollins senior editor, Maria Modugno who fell in love with some character art on display. The characters were named Russell the Sheep, Splat the Cat, and Max. After a couple of hours of entertaining chat about who these characters were, the worlds they could occupy and the adventures they could have, Maria suggested they would be very welcome to reside with HarperCollins where they would be nurtured and allowed to run free. HarperCollins has been Rob's publishing home and a playground for Russell the Sheep and Splat the Cat ever since. 

     In recent news Rob's latest book, Max and the Moonbean will be released on May 29th 2023. Splat the Cat now features in his very own TV show entitled Splat and Seymour (AKA 'Splat and Harry' in French speaking territories).
